Putin’s KGB chief in Belgrade due to the Montenegrin “case”?!

Officially – he came to talk to Serbian officials about the fight against terrorism and strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Belgrade.

However, according to unofficial information CdM obtained from Aleksandar Vucic’s party, Patrushev came to Belgrade to discuss the Montenegrin “case”.

Military-security analyst from Belgrade, Zoran Dragisic, agrees this is the reason of his visit. He told CdM Patrushev is in Belgrade because of the planned terrorist attack in Montenegro on the day of parliamentary elections on October 16.

“Sure enough, his visit was not accidental, it has everything to do with what was happening on election day. This is the true reason for his visit, not some struggle against terrorism talk, that’s nonsense. I believe the man of his caliber is here solely because of what happened in Montenegro. I’m absolutely sure that this his visit has to do with events in Montenegro”, Mr. Dragisic said for our news portal.

And who is Nikolai Patrushev?

To say that he is just a man Putin trusts and his close companion would be an understatement – he is called the ‘alpha and omega’ of Russian security services, a man who ‘knows all the secrets’.

This is a man who in 1999 succeeded Vladimir Putin at the head of the Russian intelligence services, in which position he remained during Putin’s two presidential terms.

He was the head of the Federal Security Service for almost nine years, which is longer than any other head of the FSB, and even the KGB, since the days of Yuri Andropov, who was at the head of the Soviet intelligence service for 15 years, from 1967 to 1982.
