Opportunities for cooperation and networking, particularly in the field of investment development and culture were discussed at the meeting.
The delegation of the municipality informed the hosts about current projects in Herceg Novi and development plans.
“It was noted that there is a great room for cooperation which should be utilised in the right way”, the municipality stated.
The ambassador welcomed local government’s efforts aimed at improving the investment ambience, as well as the town’s candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2021.
The initiative of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Montenegro for cooperation between the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Chinese city of Deyang was also discussed.
“During the next period, ideas and suggestions should be considered in order to make the first steps to establish concrete cooperation”, the municipality stated.
Deyang is a municipality with over 3.9 million inhabitants and it won many awards, such as the top tourist destination, the national health city and forest green city.
