Obligations until the end of the year were discussed, as well as temporary closing of those chapters that are close to EU standards.
“EU’s support to Western Balkan is clearly stated and was demonstrated during the last Summit in Paris”, it was said in the Government.
In terms of rule of law, national regulations were adjusted to EU and international standards, and there was human resources improvement in institutions.
Collegium underlined the significance of timely actions and results in fight against corruption and organized crime.
Considering current and planned activities in Chapters 8 and 27, it was stated that all efforts are being taken in order to open these chapters in the following period.
“Quality work of institutions in environment has resulted in making final draft of Strategy for adjustment of legislation with EU standards”, it was said in the Government.
Collegium considered draft of strategy, expecting that the Government will pass this document as soon as it consults European Commission.
When it comes to obligations of Chapter 8, progress was noted in adjusting national legislation with EU regulations.
Aside from members, Collegium was attended by Duško Marković, Prof. dr Vujica Lazović, Rafet Husović, Azra Jasavić and Milorad Vujović, Aleksandar Andrija Pejović and Milan Roćen and ministers of justice, interior, finances, economy, development, tourism, Zoran Pažin, Goran Danilović, mr Raško Konjević, dr Vladimir Kavarić and Branimir Gvozdenović, as well as presidents of courts and prosecutors Vesna Medenica, Prof. dr Mladen Vukčević, Ivica Stanković and Milivoje Katnić.
