The idea of sister cities has been initiated by the Association of Montenegrin-Chinese Friendship and thus the main prerequisite for the start of very important projects has been met.
Zigong is a powerful industrial city of the richest Chinese province of Sichuan.
“This is a historic memorandum. Thanks to the embassies of the two countries, we continue what we started in 2015. We will do everything to implement this agreement, to the mutual benefit of both cities”, said the president of Budva, Srdja Popovic.
The mayor of Zigong presented all the economic advantages of his city with four million population and said he was convinced in the certainty of cooperation with the “capital of Montenegrin tourism” – Budva.
In addition to the world-famous, several thousand years old salt production and manufacturing of industrial equipment, the Zigong mayor believes that a particular potential is the possibility of cooperation in preparing festival ambience – the Cinese city is globally famous for.
These are colossal lighting projects that have impressed millions of people in Sydney, Midland, Russia, etc.
At important meetings with the governments of provinces and major corporations, the delegation of Montenegro is led by the presidents of the municipalities of Budva and Zabljak, Srdja Popovic and Veselin Vukicevic, the chairman of the Association of Montenegrin-Chinese Friendship Samir Hadzic, the vice president for investments and the media Senka Cabarkapa and the director of the Museum of Budva, Biljana Brajovic.
