On Sunday, at 3am the clocks go backward an hour to make it 2am.
DST ends on the last weekend in October and starts again at the last weekend in March.
In Western Europe DST was introduced in the early 1970s.
The rationale was that the daylight is “extended” in this way, enabling savings in power consumption and increase in productivity, as well as improving people’s adjustment, which makes working day more efficient.
