Leading Iranian tour operator interested in Montenegro

The Delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by the secretary of the Embassy of Iran in Belgrade, Mohammad Javad Izadi, is paying an official visit to Montenegro.

The meetings between representatives of the ministry and NTO and the Iranian delegation are aimed at establishing cooperation and bringing tourists from Iran to Montenegro through Iran Markaz International.

Gvozdenovic emphasised potential significance of this visit for Montenegro.

“Iran could be an interesting market for Montenegro as a tourist destination as it is a country with 80 million population, out of which more than 5 million are travelling every year. I believe that our favourable investment environment will contribute to intensifying cooperation with Iranian partners and investors”, Gvozdenovic said.

Radak-Kukavicic expressed satisfaction with the interests of the leading Iranian travel agency in including Montenegro in its offer.

“Montenegro is interested to create a joint offer with the tourism organisation of Serbia in order to attract a higher number of tourists from Iran to both destinations”, said Radak-Kukavicic.

Ghasemi said the tourists from this market may start arriving to Montenegro in June and their visits may last until September.

“We have planned to bring about 3,000 tourists this season, and in the future period we can expect a significantly higher number of tourist in pre and post season”, he said.

Iran Markaz international cooperates with about 1,700 travel agencies from the countries of the European Union, Russia, China and other countries and reach half a million travel arrangements annually.
