Executive Director of MA, Zoran Kostic, said for Pobjeda daily that the national carrier will also have flights to and from Abu Dhabi and New York.
“Analysis shows that 20 percent of Air Serbia passengers from New York have Podgorica as their final destination, meaning that this cooperation helps MA conquer so far inaccessible markets”, said Kostic.
He also announced the opening of lines to Amsterdam, Athens, Banja Luka, Beirut, Berlin, Brussels, Bucharest, Istanbul, Larnaca, Milan, Ohrid, Prague, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tel Aviv, Thessaloniki, Zagreb.
Company president Daliborka Pejovic said this strategic partnership with Etihad is a great opportunity for promotion of Montenegro as a tourist and accessible destination.
“The arrangement with Air Serbia is a chance for MA to find a strategic partner, which is the commitment of the Privatization Council”, Pejovic said for Pobjeda.
MA management started working to establish strategic cooperation with partner companies of Etihad Airways back in 2014.
The Board of Directors decided at its last meeting to start cooperation with Air Serbia, which will be made official today.
