Media outlets wrote to Drobnic: Ivanovic unscrupulously insulted colleagues from of the Public Broadcaster

“Using the most vulgar verbal structures, the author, who often calls on professionalism and respect for the journalistic ethics and human rights, has openly and unscrupulously offended colleagues from the Public Broadcaster by comparing them even with prostitutes,” the media outlets have communicated.

They have stressed that this type of voicing opinions represents a kind of freedom of speech abuse and a public attack against honour, dignity and reputation of their colleagues, but also against women in general.

“The column ‘Rules of a Brothel’ represents a classic example of the misuse of public speech and violation of principles of professional ethics, as well as basic social values, which the Delegation of the European Commission advocates. Since it has been against the spirit of European standards, we expect that the Delegation of the European Commission will publicly react – as it has reacted on several occasions so far in cases of violations of journalistic ethics – to this flagrant example of abuse of public speech,” they have said.

The letter has been signed by about 70 editors and journalists of RTCG, Prva TV, Pink TV, daily “Pobjeda”, daily “Dnevne Novine”, Antena M and Radio Skala.
