The parliament speaker mentioned concrete indicators of the Parliament’s role in the electoral process democratisation and fulfilling the obligations the Parliament took over.
“The group of pro-European forces in Montenegro prevails. Montenegro is oriented towards the West, we want to be part of Western civilisation and there is no change of the course. We are fully aware of the need to strengthen institutions and the rule of law”, Pajovic said responding to numerous questions asked by members of the European Parliament, which referred to the role of the media in the electoral process, environment issues, minority rights and Montenegrins’ attitude towards integration processes.
Pajovic thanked the MEPs for the continuous support provided to Montenegro in European integration, as well as for the positive assessments of the Parliament’s role in the preparation for the elections, which they called a good example of modern political communication.
