Montenegro Independence Day marked in Moscow: Gala concert in the Kremlin

A formal reception was organized on May 18 at the Cultural Center of the diplomatic corps in Moscow. The reception was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, the legislative, executive and judicial authorities of the Russian Federation, prominent figures from the local cultural and educational circles, representatives of Montenegrin diaspora and Montenegrin students studying at Russian universities in Moscow.

After the playing of both Montenegrin and Russian anthems, the guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Montenegro to the Russian Federation, Mr. Zoran Jocović, who stressed the importance of tenth anniversary of restoration of Montenegro’s independence in its history and statehood, as well as the importance of many centuries of ties, diplomatic relations and cooperation between Montenegro and Russia.

 

Two days later, the conference hall of the State Historical Museum of Kremlin hosted a program prepared by prominent Montenegrin and Russian artists. The ceremony organized in cooperation with the State historical museum Kremlin and the Association “Moscow and Muscovites” was attended by over 120 guests.
