MPs require an extraordinary Parliaments’s session: Has Vujanovic violated the Constitution?

“In this way, the political initiative of the Democrats, with the support of colleagues from the opposition, entered the parliamentary procedure which must lead to a discussion in the Parliament. The Constitutional Committee of the Parliament shall, no later than eight days, consider the proposal and submit a report to the Parliament”, the party stated.

The Democrats believe that the president’s refusal to comply with the law and call for the local elections in Golubovci, Tuzi and early local elections for the Assembly of the Capital City Podgorica is sufficient and clear evidence that he violated the Constitution and that the necessary majority of MPs will make decision to initiate proceedings to determine whether the president violated the Constitution, which would create conditions for a final decision on this issue to be made by the Constitutional Court of Montenegro.
