Mugosa: New impetus to strengthening good relations between Slovenia and Montenegro

According to Mugosa, it is particularly important that almost all caucuses in the Slovenian Parliament, regardless of belonging to the ruling coalition or the opposition, supported the protocol ratification.

“It was pleasant to listen to beautiful, friendly words of sincere appreciation of Montenegro in the Slovenian national assembly. The speech of Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar was particularly impressive, since it was much more than a friendly gesture. This is a new historic page in our relations with Slovenia, as the first EU member state that ratified the NATO protocol, not only politically, but also in terms of strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries”, Mugosa said.

He believes that the verification of the membership of Montenegro in NATO will greatly encourage businessmen from Slovenia and other European countries to freely launch investments in Montenegrin economy.

Mugosa also welcomed announcements of other countries on ratifying Montenegro’s NATO protocol soon, pointing out that an intense activity of adoption of numerous laws and international documents is taking place in the Montenegrin Parliament, which will accelerate the integration processes of Montenegro.

Pajovic’s first successful state missions

Ambassador Mugosa also expressed his pleasure for having participated in the preparation and implementation of the first highly successful foreign mission of the new speaker of Montenegrin Parliament Darko Pajovic.

Pajovic met the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor and the speaker of the Slovenian Parliament Milan Brglez and these meetings were held in a friendly atmosphere with a lot of mutual respect.

The president Pahor escorted Pajovic in front of the presidential residence, which was even beyond the usual protocol and represents a sign of respect for the special guest, said Mugosa.
