Our basketball team played yet another great match in qualifications for EuroBasket. There was no relaxing in Slovakia, on the contrary, their great approach brought them yet another victory, another step towards a championship that will be held next year in four states.
Montenegro was celebrating in the first quarter already. Vučević won nine points for great result of 22:14 after ten minutes. Bench was also active, Danilo Nikolić got a chance to score three points, and the difference in result was 16 at halftime.
Coach Bogdan Tanjević’s team was especially inspired in the third quarter and made the result 35:14, assuring their victory.
Vučević won 17 points, Nidam 13, Nikolić 12, as well as Mihailović, and 10 for Dašić.
Montenegro’s team is coming back home tomorrow, and the last two rounds will play in Bar against Georgia and Albania.
By winning in Slovakia, Montenegro assured their second place in the group. That means that EuroBasket is all but imminent.
