Part of one lane in Budva closed for dilatation

Citizen of Budva Ljubo Filipovic shared a photo with his friends on Facebook where it can be seen that one of the four lanes is closed, although the road was officially opened five days ago.

“This is the opened part od the road today. Greetings from Budva #summer2016″, wrote Filipovic yesterday.

Supervisory engineer of the project Dusan Kokic explained that parts of the road are intentionally closed.

“The lane is closed from time to time because dilatation is being done on the construction in order to prevent the cracks. It is a regular procedure that has to be done in all new asphalts”, explained Kokic.

And asked what does it mean “from time to time”, Kokic said:

“There are seven dilatations on the boulevard. They are at every 25 meters, and the length od the road that is being temporarily closed is around 30 meters. Six of them are already finished, today the last one will be finished, and then all four lanes will be fully operative”, he said.
