Pejanović Đurišić in Warsaw: Stronger military cooperation with Poland

Ministry of Defense stated that the conversation came to a conclusion that bilateral relations can be improved, especially when it comes to cyber world, intelligence agencies, education of Montenegrin soldiers and Polish officers.

Pejanović Đurišić spoke with Maćerevič on subjects that are on the agenda of upcoming NATO Summit next week in Warsaw, and about a matter of pace of ratification of Montenegro’s Protocol in the Parliament of Poland.

She emphasized the significance of support Poland gives to Montenegro on its integration road, and thanked her Polish colleague for the cooperation so far, expressing belief that the cooperation will continue in the future.

Maćerevič congratulated Montenegro on its success and positive influence it has on the region, emphasizing the role Montenegro’s Army has in international missions and operations.

Pejanović Đurišić razgovarala je danas i sa predsjedavajućim Komisije za odbranu Parlamenta Poljske Mihalom Jahom i, tom prilikom, istakla značaj što skorije ratifikacije pristupnog protokola.

Jah je informisao ministarku da će se pitanje ratifikacije već naredne sedmice razmatrati u poljskom Parlamentu.

Pejanović Đurišić met State Secretary and Chief of Bureau for National Safety Pavel Soloh. They exhanged opinions on global threats.

They agreed that only joint efforts can have influence in face of new challenges and threats to shared values.

During her Warsaw visit, Minister laid flowers on the grave of Unknown soldier and she visited memorial site of victims of airplane crash near Smolensk.

Montenegrin delegation was made of ambassador of Montenegro in Poland Ramiz Bašić, director general of defense politics Ivan Mašulović, lieutenant Rajko Pešić, Montenegrin defense representative for POland Hajrudin Đerekarac, PR advisor in the Ministry of Defense Sanja Dajević and first secretary in Montenegro’s embassy in Poland Dragana Marković.
