The club president and an active competitor Aleksandar Trifunovic Trifke and his son Nemanja have recently returned from Durmitor where they appeared at downhill race during which a new downhill trail was promoted.
“The trail is excellent. It runs from the mountain top Savin Kuk to the beginning of the cable car. Indeed, we have made a huge promotion of the entire area. Together with other riders from Montenegro and Serbia (riders from Bar Miljan Prodanovic and Jovan Babovic were also among them), we pushed our bikes at 2,200 meters above sea level. We had a fantastic extreme ride from the top of Savin Kuk, a true downhill which lasted about twenty minutes. All the time we were accompanied by a team of Podgorica Hard Works Team, which recorded the ride”, Trifke said told Jedro news portal.
The next challenge Mornar MTB club is preparing for is Sutorman downhill which is scheduled for 20 September. The municipality of Bar is expected to help the race. Numerous cyclists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia are interested in the race.
