PHOTO: Stronger cooperation between Malta and Montenegro in wine production

As it was announced from Ministry of science, a high delegation of Malta led by parliamentary advisor for competitiveness and economic development in Malta’s ministry for economy, investments and small business Jose Herrera, arrived today on an official  three day visit to Montenegro.

Delegation of Malta, which besides Herrera includes a head of the parliamentary office for competitiveness and economic development Adrian Scibberas, councellor Charlon Gouber and honorary consul of Malta in Montenegro Tiziano Mousu, was hosted by enologist Sasa Vujicic with colleagues from Office for development in company  “13. Jul-Plantaže”.

After presentation of company’s activities especially in area of science and research, possibilities for improvement of cooperation in wine production were discussed, having in mind that Malta has a rich tradition in this area, almost 2.00 years long.

Guests also visited wine cellar “Šipčanik”, where they had a chance to taste the quality of top quality production of some of the most famous wines of company “13. Jul-Plantaže”.

As it was announced, the visit continues tomorrow, by meetings with high Montenegrin officials, while at noon in Villa Gorica there will be a signing of the Agreement between the two governments regarding bilateral cooperation in area of science and technology. 

For Thursday a visit to Kotor was planned and meetings with representatives of the Institute for biology of the sea and Maritime studies faculty of the University of Montenegro.
