At the very beginning of the Gala concert, founder and director of the festival Michael Brovkin officially announced that the first location outside the USA where the best jazz performers of today will present their skills will be Montenegro, on 3rd of June at Sveti Stefan (amphitheater at the entrance in Sveti stefan) and on 5th of June in Podgorica (atrium of The Capital Plaza).
Ambassador of Montenegro in USA Srdjan Darmanovic spoke to the crowded room at Tribeca PAC vie video link, and expressed satisfaction that the most prestigious American jazz caravan will visit Montenegro and wished them welcome.
This year’s edition of Made in New York Jazz Festival in New York was also visited by Mr. Petar Vojvodic as a special guest, who is a vice-consul of Montenegrin consulate in New York, who presented Michael Brovkin with a gift of the specialy framed orginal poster announcing the Made in New York Jazz Festival, Montenegro 2016.
Tickets for both concerts in Montenegro are on sale in Podgorica (Ethno Jazz Club Sejdefa, Bokeska 10, and Hard Rock Cafe, The Capital Plaza), as well as in Sveti Stefan (restaurant Olive).
