“Last year, internal medicine department was opened. The ministry and local government invested €130,000 in its reconstruction. In the same time, there were works on the opening gastroenterology unit, which got modern equipment in the meantime, so that it provides services to patients from Bijelo Polje and the surrounding municipalities in its full capacity. The construction of the hospital’s emergency unit is ongoing. Better conditions for the work of physicians and patient admission will be created there. Since today, after forty years, there has been a psychiatric department within the hospital with six beds in it”, Segrt said.
He also said that twelve doctors have reached specialisation level in various fields in the last eighteen months.
Segrt also noted better organisation of work, better relationships and a higher level of technological and personnel conditions.
