Allegedly, Sinđelić was ready to bargain three days ago as well and explain in detail the preparations for the attack in exchange for a lesser punishment.
It was no accident that Sinđelić was chosen as a leader, as he worked as a paid soldier in forces of New Russian in Ukraine.
He was among 300 most wanted terrorists in Ukraine, and he was accused of murder of Ukrainian soldiers.
From the first day of investigation, Sinđelić asked that he be under protection of BIA (Safety and Intelligence Agency) due to his fear that he might be killed. Serbian secret service provided protection and supervision.
Who was he protected from is not known, but it seems that dangerous criminal structures are involved. Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić expressed belief that foreign elements are involved.
Sinđelić did not reveal the names of those he is afraid of, and he did not admit to any crimes.
However, Serbian police found uniforms, money, bombs, ropes, phones, drones and other objects that are believed to be a part of preparations for the attack on election day.
Transcripts of conversations between Sinđelić and his collaborators were leaked to the public, and authorities claim that there is firm evidence against him.
Aside from Sinđelić, the arrested are Bratislav Dikić, Kristina Hristić (39), Branka Milić (61) from Novi Sad, Milan Dušić (59), Dragan Maksić (50) from Belgrade, Srboljub Đorđević (52) from Grock, Aleksandar Čurović (33), Aleksandar Aleksić (42), Nikola Đurić (34), Siniša Cetković (37), Dejan Stanojević (42), Miloš Aćimović (26), Ivica Matić (36) and Perica Andrić (39), all from Šabac.
Stefan Velimirović (25), Bojan Kovačević (40), G.K. (17), Nikola (21) and Luka Đorđević (18) and Vladimir Božović (21) were released after the hearing.
Dikic asked for a polygraph and confrontation with Sinđelić
Dikić’s attorney Milan Petrović from Niš said to WN yesterday that he still did not get an answer from Prosecution as to why was he not invited during Siđelić’s hearing.
He said that it is a precedent that hearings are held without attorneys of other suspects present.
“It is unclear why they did not inform the rest of the layers. My defendant would like to confront Sinđelić, and he would like to take a polygraph. His health is deteriorating, which is why I will ask that Serbian doctors who operated on him before check his state”, Petrović said.
Stanković: I do not follow “scripts”
State Prosecutor Ivica Stanković denied all speculations of alleged scripted terrorist attack.
Speaking to Montenegrin National Television, he said that he never followed scripts, much less when such important state matters are at hand.
“I have a career in legislation that is 4 decades longs and I have never been known as a participator in any scripts”, Stanković said.
“Speculations are there to confuse citizens, so I ask for their patience. Prosecution will make announcements in due time”, he said.
