Sreten Radonjic – Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption

Mr Radonjic got four votes and, in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Corruption, he was elected to the post.

In addition to Mr Radonjic, candidates were Mladen Tomovic, Zeljko Tomovic and Dusan Drakic, who were interviewed by the Agency Council before the election of director.

“The session was open to the public, except during the interviews with candidates Tomovic, Radonjic and Drakic, upon their request. Mr Tomovic was publicly interviewed,” the Agency communicated.

Members of the Council questioned the candidates related to their initial presentation, the explained proposal of the work programme submitted in writing and key priorities of the Agency, as well as in relation to the powers of the Agency.

The Council members Ristan Stijepovic and Goranka Vucinic voted for Tomovic, whereas Mr Stijepovic, Radule Zuric, Ms Vucinic and Bojan Obrenovic voted for Radonjic.

It was added in the statement that Mr Stijepovic also voted for Mr Tomovic and Mr Drakic.

The Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption was formed in July. The President of the Council is Goranka Vucinic, and members are Vanja Calovic, Bojan Obrenovic, Ristan Stijepovic and Radule Zuric.

The Council members have been elected by the Parliament upon the proposal of the Anti-Corruption Committee. They have been elected for four year term and cannot be elected to this position more than twice.
