Beijing, London and now Rio. For the third time, our national team is fighting for bronze. The last two times ended badly, especially in London when Serbia won.
“Beijing was specific. We all wanted the gold, and maybe we flew too high. We were not ready to fight for the bronze. London was a different story. We were so close. I hope we can do it now”, Draško Brguljan said.
Everyone agrees our team deserves to win some medal at these Games, but Italy could prove difficult to play.
The Italians have the support of the judges, but we know how to play them. We can only hope to repeat our match in Belgrade. Seven months ago we won against Italy and made it to semifinals.
We played two more times at the championship of 2014. The last time we played was in Bor when Italy won 8:7.
Italy is placed as a favorite in this match, and we have a great fight ahead of us.
