Declaration of ecological state of Montenegro was adopted at the meeting of the republic parliament that was held in the open in Zabljak, on 20th of September in 1991.
Within the declaration a strategic focus of the country was defined on adopting and applying highest standards and norms in environmental protection, preservation of nature and economic development on principles of ecologically sustainable system.
From NGO “Green Home” they said, in honor of the anniversary, that this determinant of ecological state of Montenegro that is part of two constitutions has no practical sense.
They said that a big and permanent devastation of the area has already been done, and that quality of the environment in many segments and areas has been significantly worsened.
They warned the public that number of multi-decades ecological black spots has increased.
