He was invited by the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, and was joined by Minister of Science Sanja Vlahović.
Mattarella congratulated Montenegro on the progress it has made, especially in NATO and EU integration.
“Italy strongly supports integration of Western Balkan, and this subject will be high on the agenda of fourth conference within Berlin Process, that will be hosted by Italy”, he said.
Vujanović said that the visit is an affirmation of historical friendship and quality relations of two countries. He said he was proud of the relationship and thanked Italy for its strong and continuous support to Montenegro and the region.
“Montenegro will responsibly go on with the negotiations with EU, that are important for our internal development, as well as regional cooperation”, he said.
He underlined the importance of infrastructural, traffic and energetics connections in Western Balkan.
“I especially would like to thank Italy for its contribution to EU expansion policies”, Vujanović concluded.
