Finance Minister Rasko Konjevic has met Proskuryakova today. They discussed current cooperation and projects of common interest.
Speaking about the current World Bank’s involvement in Montenegro, the officials mentioned the projects in the area of tax administration reforms and institutional development and improvement of agriculture. They agreed that there was a need for their more efficient implementation.
Minister Konjevic thanked the partners for their continued support in several segments and expressed satisfaction over the fact that the priorities of Montenegro’s future development coincided with those identified by the World Bank.
He also emphasised the necessity to introduce and decisively implement measures aimed at full respect for the rule of law and ensuring a higher level of tax discipline, which directly affects the creation of favourable business environment.
Bearing that in mind that the World Bank plays an important financial, technical and expert role in the context of economic development of Montenegro, it was agreed that future steps should be concretised through frequent interaction.
