4G network in Montenegro by December

Permits for radio frequencies for mobile networks are being implemented and Montenegro is well underway to use its natural resources, said member of the council of Agency for electronic communication and postal services Zoran Sekulic.

He said that the permits range from 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2 GHz and 2,6 GHz.

M-tel representative Ana Martinovic said that this company used 800 MHz and 1800 Mhz range to develop a 4G network that would cover all the cities, roads and tourist centers in Montenegro.

She reminded that 4G network enables much faster internet connection.

PR of Crnogorski Telekom Marija Raznatovic said that they have procured necessary frequencies for continuous service in the following 15 years.

Telekom is obligated to cover 70% of the population by the end of the first year of their contract, 85% by the end of second year and 95% by the end of the third.

She said this company would continue investing and developing their infrastructure. Taking into account the summer season and an increased number of users, she said the priority is coastal region. The newest technology was obtained in 6 coastal cities.
