In an interview for DW, Deputy Prime Minister, Dritan Abazovic, has said that the Open Balkans initiative is in line with the Berlin process, noting that he’s ready to sign the Fundamental Agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
“The two are compatible. The problem is that the people from the Western Balkans try to add drama over every single issue,” the PM said and pointed out that the initiatives such as the Berlin process, CEFTA and the Open Balkans promote the regional cooperation.
He also assesses that the region needs more trust, better communication, joint projects and greater cooperation among government, and less tensions and depolarization.
