Official representation office of Aeroflot in Belgrade has denied the information that wasreleased BY Montenegrin media two days ago, that company Aeroflot has cancelled all Tivat flights for 2020.
Some media have stated that “this” would destroy tourism. However, representative of the Russian air carrier, Mr Vladislav Mordvinov, said in an exclusive statement for Balkanist that flights to Belgrade and Tivat had been cancelled until 21 August.
“Aeroflot plans to open flights as soon as it is allowed. I can’t provide you with any more details on the winter schedule because it hasn’t been made yet, but currently, we just plan to re-start flights”, Mr Mordvinov said.
Montenegro announced opening borders to Russians on 4 August. Given the fact that the country remained closed to Serbia, as a response to the “news” that Aeroflot allegedly cancelled all flights to Montenegrin coast Serbian newspapers wrote that “Russians have hammered the last nail into the chest of Montenegrin tourism”.
