Affordability of petrol in Montenegro and in the region

For an average salary in Montenegro, which is 511 EUR, Montenegrin citizens can buy 403 liters of petrol. Taking into consideration countries from the region, citizens of Slovenia can afford 855 liters of petrol, which is the record. Next come Croatians whose petrol consumption, according to their average salary is 608 liters. Citizens of Bosnia buy around 459 liters of petrol, whereas people in Serbia, where the average salary is 459 EUR,  can afford 380 liters of petrol.

Last Tuesday prices of petrol went 4 cents up (except for Euro-Diesel), and now the prices are similar to those in Croatia or even Slovenia where average salaries are much higher.

Despite an increase in excise on highways, petrol in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still the cheapest in the whole region.  According to the portal Globalpetrolprices.com, petrol price is lower than 1 EUR. Bosnia and Herzegovina is followed by Macedonia (1,06 EUR ), Serbia (1,2 EUR),  Slovenia (1,26 EUR )and Montenegro (1,37 EUR).
