The data which “Pobjeda” obtained from the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development show that this year will be much more successful as far as tourism is concerned, and the growth trend is continuing. Industrial production in the first two months of 2018 is almost 40 % higher in comparison tot he same period last year. The Ministry of Economy reports that all this is the direct result of the favorable hydrological conditions for the functioning of the hydropower plants and thanks to the work of wind farms Krnovo and thermal power plant Pljevlja.
„According to the results recorded at the beginning of 2018, number of tourists significantly increased. More than 38.000 tourists stayed in the collective accommodation in January and February , which is 30% more than in the same period last year“, reported the Ministry of Tourism.
An increase in the number of tourists is expected from many countries.
At the request of the interested guests from this market, this year, air connection with Poland was significantly improved. Polish airline LOT will run regularly from Warsaw to Podgorica. Of course, this will result in bigger number of tourists coming from these markets.
Representative of the Ministry of Economy say that positive indicators of the industrial production result from the positive trends in the electricity, gas and vapor supply sector which recorded an increase of 21,9 % in comparison to January.
