Asset seizure: The least taken from Marović&his family

The Special State Prosecutor’s Office for three years confiscated illegally obtained assets worth €29.5m from defendants in various criminal offences. The largest amount of money was taken from people involved in malversations in Budva, which does not refer to ex-DPS official, Svetozar Marović and his son Miloš, from whom the state seized the smallest amount of cash/assets.

As for their collaborators, the state seized much more. The most valuable assets were seized from Tradeunique – €19,810,047, while Gugi Commerce had to pay €3,842,766 and it is expected to seize €2,254,585 more from the same company based on another case. Property worth €2,191,312 was seized from Copyright company.

€1,096,000 was seized from Svetozar Marović and €385.185 from his son, Miloš.

Since 2015, there have been 26 cases brought against 231 individuals and 10 legal entities. Beside cash, land and flats, the state seized dozens of high-end vehicles as well. The most comprehensive financial investigation was launched against Marović and his group in 2015 and it included even 79 individuals. The investigation into drug trafficking was also launched that year.
