The highest tax on real-estate in Bar was paid last years by one citizen who owns 54 apartments, it was said to Pobjeda daily from the Municipal Assembly of this city.
One Budva citizen owns 63 apartments, and he paid the tax of 22.630 EUR last year.
On average, Bar citizen paid 393 EUR per apartment a year, and Budva citizen 355 EUR. The Municipality of Bar said that the taxes were paid on time, and that the apartments in question are of smaller size.
They reminded that every taxpayer that owns property is due to pay his taxes based on square footage, zoning, age, quality, market value and tax rate.
The Municipality said they received 5.554.860 EUR last year on the basis of real-estate tax.
They reminded that the budget envisaged 5.300.000 EUR of income on this basis.
Pobjeda reminds that after Budva and Bar residents, one Podgorica citizen owns 36 apartments, and they are still awaiting information on his tax state.
The data of Real-Estate Administration demonstrate that there are 298.228 apartments in Montenegro of total square footage of 17.883.072 m2.
