Boban Mugoša at the top of the trust league, research suggests

Boban Mugoša

Citizens of Montenegro care about their health the most – the latest research carried out by IPSOS agency, backed by UNICEF, confirms. Most people, 93% of them, consider that top Orthodox and Catholic clerks should tell their believers to mark this year’s Easter at home, without extended family and friends.

In addition, the survey suggests that Mr Boban Mugoša, head of the Public Health Institute, is at the top of the trust league, followed by Mr Jevto Eraković, head of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, and Mr Senad Begić, assistant director of the Public Health Institute. As for the politicians, the people of Montenegro’s trust in the prime minister, Mr Duško Marković, is the highest.

“We wish to thank the citizens for their trust. All of us, healthcare professionals, are working in the best interest of all citizens. Your trust gives us additional strength and responsibility as well,“ Dr Begić noted.

Montenegro citizens wouldn’t mind pay cuts just to stay safe, the research suggests. More than two-thirds would accept a pay cut just to reduce the risk of being infected with Covid-19. Almost every second citizen believes that only the state could help them. Furthermore, more than two-thirds say they fully understand the economic measures taken by the govt. Almost half of Montenegrins say their revenues have reduced since the emergence of the coronavirus.

Majority of citizens still receive their full salary and are not afraid of losing their job.

The research encompassed 819 citizens of Montenegro and was carried out from 7 to 9 April this year.
