Montenegro’s Defense Minister, Mr Predrag Bošković, president of the Municipality of Bar, Mr Dušan Raičević and head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Major General Dragutin Dakić, laid a wreath at the monument in Tuđemili on 7 October, day of the Montenegrin Army.

Minister Bošković congratulated on this Day and said that the date was woven into Montenegro’s history.

“This date confirms that Montenegro has always existed. I am so proud to say that we celebrate this date as the institution that enjoys greatest trust in the country. That’s what we wanted and what we worked for”, Mr Bošković said.

He reminded that Montenegro had always been proud of its armed forces.

“Today Montenegro is young European country, but is first and foremost country that cherishes values of the North Atlantic Charter”, Mr Bošković said.

Mr Bošković reminded that “over €120 million was invested during this term of office in the modernization of the army”.

Minister thanked president Bar Municipality and citizens of Bar for making cooperation with the army stable and successful and for investing in the monument.

“We can proudly state that our armed forces are modern, ready to respond to challenges and preserve fundamental values of our country”, Mr Raičević said.
