Acting Director of the National Police, Mr Zoran Brđanin, didn’t want to comment on the CdM’s information that he had been forced to dismiss Chief Officer of the Nikšić Security Center, Mr Tihomir Goranović, for political reasons.
“I don’t want to comment on that matter officially. I’ve told everything in today’s statement of the National Police submitted to the media, related to dismissals of Mr Tihomir Goranović and commander of the Nikšić Police, Mr Darko Mađarić,” Mr Brđanin told CdM.
According to unofficial information, Mr Brđanin required both Mr Goranović and Mr Mađarić to publicly call on the Acting Director of the National Police to dismiss them.
According to CdM, Mr Brđanin then allegedly offered Mr Željko Stanišić, the head of the Crime Investigation Department, to take over as the head of the Nikšić Security Center, but he refused and required dismissal.
Until he finds a man who’s going to run the Nikšić Security Center, this department will be led by Mr Dragoljub Peković, Chief Officer of the Criminal Police Station in Herceg Novi.
