Central Bank earmarks €2,5 million to help the country recover from coronavirus epidemic

Central Bank of Montenegro will earmark €2,5 million for the recovery from coronavirus epidemic, it was stated in today’ session of the CB Council.

“The Council rendered decision on the appropriation of profit for 2019 by means of which €2,5 million will be part of the Budget.

Council of the Central Bank considered Financial report for 2019, along with the Report of the Independent auditor.

“Independent auditor had positive opinion about financial reports and pointed out that “financial statements provide a true and objective view of the financial position of the Central Bank and its financial success in 2019”.

According to the Financial reports for 2019, total profit of the CB (€18,3 million) is by 16,15% higher than projected and by 9,42% higher than profit made in 2018.

The Council also rendered decision on increasing Central Bank’s initial capital by means of which initial capital of the Central Bank will be increased for the amount of €3 million.
