Chancellor Kurz congratulated PM Marković: Your economic growth is far above ours

Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Sebastian Kurz and Montenegro’s Prime Minister Duško Marković met today in Vienna, when Chancellor Kurz noted Montenegro’s economic growth is far above Austria’s.

“I congratulate you on the extraordinary results. Your economic growth is far above ours. Austria looks forwards to success and supports Montenegro and the countries of the Western Balkans,” the Austrian Chancellor said.

PM Marković thanked Chancellor Kurz for the invitation.

“It is a pleasure to be in Vienna in the first official visit of the Prime Minister of Montenegro to Austria after renewal of our independence in 2006. We noted that the bilateral relations between the two countries are good, and that there are opportunities for strengthening cooperation, especially in the economy,” stressed Montenegro’s Prime Minister.

He added that Montenegro highly appreciates the role of Austria, as well as Chancellor Kurz, in the Western Balkans.

“First of all, we appreciate the continuous commitment to fostering the European perspective of Montenegro and the region, strongly expressed during the Austrian presidency over the Council of the European Union,” said PM Marković.

PM Marković was welcomed in front of the Federal Chancellery of Austria with the highest state honors.
