Citizens usually get loans to purchase flats

According to the latest data of the Central Bank of Montenegro, CBCG, banks and other financial institutions in MNE approved loans worth EUR 858.2 million in the first nine months of 2018. Of this amount, citizens borrowed money for various purposes in the total value of EUR 360.8 million, while the administrations and industry borrowed EUR 497.4 million in total.

The CBCG data show that citizens mostly borrowed money for the purchase and reconstruction of residential premises (EUR 5.3 million), while EUR 4.9 million was lent to them for other purposes.

Legal persons borrowed money for current assets liquidity, in the total amount of EUR 16.9 million. They refinanced loans in the amount of EUR 11.9 million to settle liabilities towards other banks, and sought loans worth EUR 6 million for other purposes.
