Consulate General of Montenegro to be opened in Istanbul

Montenegrin Foreign Affairs Minister Mr Srđan Darmanović will pay an official visit to Turkey on 10 Sept. when he is to meet his Turkish counterpart Mr Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. According to the agenda adopted by the Government of Montenegro, Minister Darmanović’s visit to Ankara will deepen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as the plan is to define some concrete joint activities whose implementation might be expected soon, writes Dan daily.

The meeting of the foreign affairs ministers represents a possibility for direct exchange of opinions on the current regional and international topics of mutual interest, cooperation within NATO, as well as projects of mutual interest in the field of economy, education and culture, the Government of Montenegro stated.

At its session held on 21 March 2019, the Government passed a Decision on the opening of the Consulate General of Montenegro in Istanbul.
