Coronavirus: 29 people under surveillance in Montenegro

There are 29 people under constant medical surveillance in Montenegro due to coronavirus, Mr Marko Bakić of the Public Health Institute told. According to the information he obtained, a Montenegrin national who is currently on the Diamond Princess cruise ship, is infected with the coronavirus and soon will be admitted to the hospital for further treatment.

Speaking in a morning TV show of the public broadcaster RTCG, Mr Bakić said that the risk of coronavirus infection in Montenegro is still low, but must not be ignored. Currently, there are 29 people under surveillance in MNE.

He also underlined that the Public Health Institute is closely cooperating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and monitoring a health condition of the infected Montenegrin national who’s on the Diamond Princess cruise ship.
