Foreign Affairs Minister, Srđan Darmanović, was a speaker at today’s promotion of the monograph ‘Diaspora of Montenegro – nowadays and in the past’ held in the National Library ‘Radosav Ljumović’ in the capital, Podgorica.
Emphasizing the role of our emigrants throughout history, as the backbone and firm support at the turning points of development and raising of Montenegro, Minister Darmanović particularly recalled the prominent people of Montenegrin origin, living on all continents.
“The monograph ‘Diaspora of Montenegro -nowadays and in the past’ represents a natural sequence of previous efforts in this area and a significant reminder of Montenegro that lives on the territories of North and Latin America, Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe,” the Minister noted.
Head of the Department for Diaspora, Predrag Mitrovic, as well as Marko Špadijer, Sait Šabotić, Ivan Jovović and Goran Popović also delivered speeches at the promotion of the monograph.
The authors of the monograph are Marijan Mašo Miljić, Sait Šabotić, Ivan Jovović, Marko Špadijer, Prof. Milan Vukčević, Elvira Bekteši and Dr Antonela Arhin.
