Diaspora Should Send Money and Keep Quiet

Good morning! The diaspora is good when it sends money, and according to former minister Sekulovic, they send it to themselves. Voting is out of the question, at least until they are reeducated.

Diaspora should send money and keep quiet

Some people think that the diaspora’s voice should not be heard in Montenegro, where it does not live. They believe that our fate should not be decided by someone who does not share our everyday life with us. They say they come once in four years to vote and then we have to live with their choice. They say that they vote for those because of whom they had to move from Montenegro in the first place and leave it to seek their fortune.

And all this sounds logical and acceptable. But exercised rights are exercised rights, and the law is the law. Suddenly, diaspora votes became the main topic of the election campaign for the president. As if someone, God forbid, is preparing to take those rights away from them. And give them to someone else. That did not happen in 2021 only because of protests and pressure from the international community. However, do not doubt that it has been abandoned. Dritan mentions more and more the restrictiveness of the Montenegrin law on citizenship. The only important issue is the moment of implementation of the ancient strategy. Slowly, after these presidential and then after the parliamentary elections, the conditions will be created for the petrification of the political climate in which these and such policies will pass with ease.

I watched a shameful report on the diaspora vote on Vijesti television. I don’t understand why people don’t see all the problems of such a way of reporting. On the other hand, the diaspora is threatened. They are threatened by the bizarre group called Alternative Montenegro, which, during breaks in the fight against chemtrails and investigative journalism, will also deal with diaspora research. They call for people to be legitimized and for measures to be taken to revoke the citizenship of those who are found to have illegally obtained dual citizenship. They are still calling to “analyze the names”. So that they don’t accidentally sound wrong like in the 1990s.

The question is whether the same problem would be the case if the diaspora was preparing to come from Serbia. Then there would probably be no problem for the team from Alternative. Or to swear that they will vote for Jakov, or whoever they tell them. Because the problem is not the diaspora, the problem is who the diaspora votes for. Unfortunately, the ethnic composition of the diaspora is also a problem for some people.

The diaspora is good when it sends money for treatment, for soup kitchens, to save reputation when the premises of the Islamic community are vandalized, when the vans of the Bosnian national team are set on fire, when the money is paid in stores, when whole families in the north are fed. If it was good then, it must be endured now. It’s like with your parents. If you leave your family home in time and are independent, then it’s all up to you in your own house under your own roof. If you live under the same roof and can’t take care of yourself, then accept the fact that they have to make some decisions too.

That’s it for today. We wish you a pleasant rest of the day.
