Djurisic sued Government: He was asked to vote illegally

The former member of the Agency for Civil Aviation and the former Montenegro Airlines director Zoran Djurisic has filed a lawsuit in the constitutional court against Government due to, he believes, illegal dismissal from the agency’s board. In the lawsuit, he asks for the decision to be cancelled, ie to be restored to office, Vijesti writes.

Government, as stated in the lawsuit filed by Rodic’s Law Office, based the case only on the statement of the transport minister Osman Nurkovic, who stated that Djurisic “failed to attend all sessions of the Council from the date he was appointed as the Council member. He also failed to use the ruling on the justification of his absences and statements on the submitted materials from the agenda of the Council meetings”.

The lawsuit claims that Djurisic’s rights were disregarded. He was not allowed to present facts and evidence in the examination procedure, or to declare his position on the results of the investigation procedure, which the plaintiff doubts was carried out at all.

The government dismissed the entire agency’s council on 11 January, but this decision was announced last week. Djurisic claims he didn’t attend meetings since he wasn’t receiving any material, and adds that he was asked over the phone to vote on a report he hadn’t received.
