In the 2019/2020 school year, students in elementary schools will be having lectures on sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and nutrition and mental health.

This has been agreed with the Ministry of Education. Doctors will be holding lectures for the eighth and ninth grade students.

Results of Mix research have shown that five years ago, around 48% of girls knew how HIV is prevented. Last year’s report shows that by 29% less girls knew the answer to that question. Percentage of young men familiar with this subject has reduced as well. (from 37% to 23%)

“The Government and the ministry have earmarked €125.000, and the amount has already been allocated in accordance with the rules and criteria”.
