Đonović: DF leaders have far more bark than bite

Political observer, Ranko Đonović, claims the Democratic Front (DF) leaders, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević, are more bark than bite when they say they are going to confront ‘dictatorship’ if convicted of the involvement in the coup attempt in Montenegro on 16 October 2016, writes Dnevne Novine daily.

Statements of the DF leaders are not surprising, according to Mr Đonović.

He said: “If only they were able to destabilize Montenegro, they would do it for sure. Not just now but many years before. But, they lack support of the citizens of Montenegro for such a scenario. If you ask me, only a small group of people believe in testimonies given on trials. Therefore, they can neither ‘cut off heads’ nor instigate any rioting in the country.”

However, he added, some incidents might happen on 9 May but one cannot tell they would destabilize the state.
