Đukanović: Montenegro has completed a big fight for human lives

Following the latest news from the Public Health Institute, announcing that Montenegro has officially become coronavirus-free, President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović, stated that the country has completed a big fight for the most sacred values – human lives.

“Montenegro has successfully completed the coronavirus fight! No more active cases! This phase of our big fight for the most sacred values – human lives – has been successfully completed. State bodies and the Montenegrin society as a whole, have shown a remarkable level of responsibility in facing this new challenge, while the health care system demonstrated commitment and competence”, the President tweeted.

According to him, all state bodies –starting from the government, police and armed forces to local authorities, inspection and municipal services – demonstrated considerable progress when it comes to operations, as well as an enormous sacrifice, courage and responsibility.

“Irreplaceable volunteers, led by the Red Cross, and generous donors, many local – and it’s important to emphasize very renowned foreign friends and investors. All this is a reason for our satisfaction and genuine and deep gratitude. Now we must be equally responsible and determined in responding to social and economic consequences of the pandemic,” President Đukanović concluded.
