Đukanović to criminal groups: “Anyone who dares to use force will be treated the same way”.

Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Milo Đukanović, said that the most important task of the new government would now be to consolidate the sense of security and safety.

„In order for us to go towards Europe, it is crucial, as I said, to maintain political stability and  improve safety and legal security of both the country and every citizen who lives in it. We reinforced our political stability by accessing  the NATO“, said Đukanović during the Conference „Milo Đukanović – for stability and prosperity of Montenegro“ which took place in Kotor.

He added that he wouldn’t let the participants of criminal organizations threaten lives of innocent people.

„The only legitimate force is the one held by the country. We will or refrain from using it in all its forms in order to stop the violence and protect the right to safe life which is guaranteed to every citizen and every child in this country. As the president of Montenegro I will do everything I can, I will initiate all legal and other activities aimed at changing the regulations, to authorize the participants of the safety authorities in Montenegro to take actions and prevent more violence.

He reminded that the greatest achievement of the  Democratic Party of  Socialists is the fact that Montenegro is a member of NATO, the most powerful alliance, and he pointed out that April, 15 is the date when we decide whether Montenegro will continue towards the EU, the path it chose 20 years ago.
