Đukanović: We don’t take what belongs to others

President of Montenegro and leader of Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Mr Milo Đukanović, sent a clear message today to everybody who dares to take what belongs to Montenegro.

“Montenegro will not take a single millimeter of somebody’s territory, but it also will not allow somebody to take what belongs to it. We must tell those who have some paternalistic ideas: our country is independent, sovereign, internationally recognized, a country of honorable, proud and dignified citizens who have never been managed by anybody from the side”, said Mr Đukanović at the election conference of DPS held in Berane.

He pointed out that everybody had to behave in accordance with the laws.

Mr Đukanović said this following the threats coming from Serbia saying that Montenegro will not be allowed to adopt the new Law on Freedom of Religion that is supposed to regulate the issue of church property.

Dire threats against Montenegro came after president Đukanović had said that it was high time independence of Montenegrin Orthodox Church was renewed.

It was all started by Serbian president, Mr Aleksandar Vučić, and then other officials joined.

With joint forces they tell Montenegrin government: “Don’t you dare take what belongs to Serbian Orthodox Church”.
