Đukanović’s up on arms over Berane election results

Although he had been invited to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in the USA, the leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Milo Đukanović, decided to stay in Montenegro due to his party obligations, CdM learns.

According to information of CdM, DPS leader has not been satisfied with the results of the Berane local elections, held on Sunday, February 4th.

Đukanovic’s DPS will hold 17 seats in Berane’s local parliament and will remain as the opposition in this town, as in 2014. The Zdravo Berane coalition will have 14 seats and after the potential talks with the Democrats (4 seats) they will be able to form a government.

In the light of forthcoming local elections in 12 municipalities, including the capital, Đukanović has allegedly announced numerous changes regarding the party’s personnel structure.
