The information about the health condition of the President of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović, published in some Serbian media is mere speculation and disinformation, Mr Đukanović’s office has said today.

“The President of Montenegro is in good health condition, performing his regular duties in full capacity,” the announcement says.
The Serbian media have written, citing unnamed resources, that Mr Đukanović is seriously ill, has double pneumonia and heavy breathing.
They also stated that the President is being treated in a private clinic, without the Montenegrin people being informed of his illness.
Some media went even further to claim that DPS’s congress scheduled for 23 January was cancelled due to the alleged President’s illness.
